What edition-first actually means
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight
Track the disc, not just the movie
Edition-level tracking
Every disc is a specific edition: format, cut, label, UPC. MovieStacks tracks the thing on your shelf, not just the movie inside it.
Condition & purchase history
Record where you bought it, what you paid, and what shape it's in. Know your collection inside and out.
Lists, reviews & community
Curate lists, write edition-level reviews, and see what other collectors think before you buy.
Bring your collection
Already tracking your collection somewhere else? We'll help you import it. No need to start over.
Built by a collector, for collectors
Streaming services kept pulling movies right when we wanted to watch them. Halloween favorites gone in October. Groundhog Day pulled before February. The solution was obvious: start buying physical media.
Hundreds of discs with no good way to track them. Duplicate purchases became routine. The existing tools could tell you that you owned a movie, but not which edition you owned, or which copy was actually worth keeping.
So I built MovieStacks. Edition-first, modern, and designed for people who care about what's on their shelves, not just what's on their screen.
